I'm a political junkie, I guess. I graduated with degrees in political science and public administration, and had a long career which included public office as a Mayor of a large suburb and leadership of a $3.8 Billion dollar in assets state agency. No longer involved as a Planning Commissioner, on Longboat Key, however I'm still active in Kiwanis, where I've served as Treasurer,Secretary and President and now I'm division Trustee, having served as the Lt. Governor of my division. It's fairly consuming, which has reduced the time spent with my GOP Club, IU Alumni group, and my church. Travel, especially cruising, fills the days of my retirement. During 2013 I purchased a light aircraft (Cessna 172 SP) and started taking flying lessons with my son John B. He now has his Private Pilot license, while I have yet to solo. Guess I'm out to prove there are no Old, Bold Pilots. I still have quite a few years left, so who knows what comes next. Finally. after twelve long months, I moved off the traffic plagued island, and into a home across the bay.
